PRESIDENT ZELENSKY & POTUS TRUMP’s MEETING ESCALATED WHEN US VP JD VANCE IN THE OVAL OFFICE
The meeting of the American and Ukrainian leaders kicked off a day of joint commitments over the mineral deals, already drafted and prepared, just ready for President Zelenskyy to sign up. Later on, a second step would follow up over ceasefire agreement with Russia, to end the war. It started cordially from both sides during the first the 35 minutes in, before a twist triggered quickly to tension from both sides, until the disagreement was no longer a comprehensive dialogue.
It all started not from President Trump himself, but his Vice President JD Vance, calling the Ukrainian president "disrespectful" - an accusation the POTUS repeatedly added as the conversation hit its most tense moments. The VP Vance as he fueled the tension reminding President Zelenskyy whether he was grateful enough for the US's help. "Have you said 'thank you' once this entire meeting?" he asked. "Offer some words of appreciation for the United States of America and the president who's trying to save your country."

This confrontation in the Oval Office may have dramatic consequences, and jeopardized the first round of negotiation for reaching a peace agreement in Russia/Ukraine war. Volodomyr Zelenskyy might be ending up deprived his country from the American aid, in terms of logistic, military and humanitarian aid react leading to a dead end, despite the deal for minerals, already drafted and prepared for signature.
This date of 28 February 2025, will mark a significant deterioration in U.S.-Ukraine relations and doubts over the future of American support for Ukraine, in its ongoing conflict with Russia.

PRESIDENT ZELENSKYY HAD A PROVOCATIVE SENTENCE MEANING A THREAT TOWARDS THE USA AS HE LOST HIS TEMPER
President Zelenskyy also had a regrettable provocative sentence that could be interpreted as a hidden threat by the US President Trump by his "noting that for now, the U.S. is separated from the fighting by an ocean, said of the war, "You don't feel it now, but you'll feel it in the future."

President Trump who answered him, started to get very angry as if felt that was a tough provocation even a threat form counterpart Zelenskyy" "You don't know that," Mr. Trump argued. "You don't know that. Don't tell us what we're going to feel. We're trying to solve a problem. Don't tell us what we're going to feel, because you're in no position to dictate that. You're in no position to dictate what we're going to feel. We're going to feel very good." POTUS Trump reminded President Zelenskyy of his weak position on the world chess square, and how dependent on the American aid his is: "You don't have the cards right now," President. Trump said, as Zelenskyy continued to interject and disagree. "With us, you start having cards. Right now, you don't have your playing cards, you’re playing cards — you're gambling with the lives of millions of people. "You're gambling with World War III. You're gambling with World War III."
TRUMP’S ADMINISTRATION SUPPLIED UKRAINE WITH JAVELIN ANTI TANK MISSILE IN 2017
On December 22, 2017, the Trump administration approved supplying Javelin anti-tank missiles to Ukraine, capping a nearly three-year debate in Washington over whether the United States should provide lethal defensive weapons to counter further Russian aggression in Europe. A few days prior the US Department of State announced that senior officials had authorized a sizeable export of US-made snipers, ammunition, and accessories. The shift in US policy under the Trump administration has been misunderstood. The US government is directly supplying lethal defense hardware to the Ukrainian military for the first time, although US-made lethal weapons have been in Ukraine since 2015. POTUS Trump told President Zelenskyy threatens then to withdraw American support if Zelenskyy doesn't accept a deal, stating: "If you didn't have our military equipment, this war would be over in two weeks." as President Zelenskyy kept interrupting him talking, and losing his temper as well.
Eventually, the scheduled joint press conference was canceled and Ukrainian Zelensky left the White House prematurely. We limited ourselves to summarizing the essentials of the meeting of the two leaders of the VO JD Vance which in reality lasted 49 minutes, with a focus on the last 10 minutes of the blow up, via an escalation of the tense discussion, by the end of the bilateral Ukraine/USA.
Afterward, the Ukrainians left the Oval Office to head to a "separate room," while the U.S. team stayed in the Oval Office, a White House official said. While the Ukrainians were waiting in the other room, national security adviser Mike Waltz and Secretary of State Marco Rubio told them to leave. The official said Zelenskyy was trying to smooth things over and asked for a reset, but Mr. Trump and other administration officials were offended by Zelenskyy's behavior.

A GUEST SHOULD BE GRATEFUL AND POLITE TOWARDS HIS HOST IN HIS LIVING ROOM
Whatever the stakes are, and in this case they are significant, because millions of lives are at stake. When we call for an end to a war and a ceasefire, a leader should control himself and keep his cool, especially when faced with another leader representing a country that has helped him before and offering him a way out of the war. Beyond the battle of egos, gratitude is necessary and even if he was alone Volodomyr Zelenskyy should have kept a low profile and demonstrated gratitude because on the one hand, he almost didn't even appear at the negotiating table.

Actually, it was thanks to the French President Macron who insisted to his American counterpart that he receive him at the White House, in the first place secondly, he is in a weak position because his army is exhausted and he has difficulty enlisting new soldiers, faced with an armed conflict that has been bogged down for three years against Putin's army, (> 1 million dead on both sides of the Ukraine/Russia armed conflict and millions of wounded, including mutilated, disabled, and 10% of the Ukrainian population having fled the country) and thirdly he is here asking for additional military aid and/or to sign a deal on rare earth territories and get a peace deal with Russia. As President Trump said, "You don't hold the cards"
For all these reasons, logic would have dictated that President Zelenskyy's attitude be less vehement, and more grateful and show more humility and modesty within the Oval Office of the world's greatest democracy. And finally, a guest, whatever the context, must respect and thank his host, without being psycho-rigid or criticising the decoration or the dinner of his host, but good manners are required!
PRESIDENT ZELENSKY WILL EVENTUALLY RECONSIDER HIS POSITION & BACK TO THE TRUMP’s DEAL
Volodomyr Zelenskyy will certainly have to calm down, and reconsider his position which is of "weakness" or even vulnerability and especially his dependence on the United States of America having always supported him since 2014, i.e. since the Donbass conflict. It remains to be seen to what extent the Ukrainian president will have to show deference towards his American counterpart Donald Trump, who left very angry and upset after their meeting on February 28 in the Oval Office of the White House. The reasons of reconsidering, and apologies, are that on the one hand, US President Trump has threatened to no longer support President Zelenskyy if he does not sign the deal on rare mineral territories and that he risks cutting off all military, logistical, intelligence and humanitarian aid to Ukraine, and on the other hand, Donald Trump is the only current leader who deals and negotiates directly with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, necessary for the achievement of a peace agreement and at least a ceasefire
